City to update community on marine outfalls

Residents and all interested stakeholders are encouraged to attend a public meeting with the City of Cape Town to discuss the marine outfalls which are located offshore at Hout Bay, Green Point and Camps Bay

Residents and all interested stakeholders are encouraged to attend a public meeting with the City of Cape Town to discuss the marine outfalls which are located offshore at Hout Bay, Green Point and Camps Bay. This will include providing an update on the timelines for the launch of the public participation process related to the discharge permits.

'We encourage residents and interested stakeholders to attend this meeting to get the latest information on the marine outfalls and the public participation process related to the City's application to operate these outfalls. It's part of an important journey to build a working relationship between the City and the community on matters related to sanitation services,' said Mayoral Committee Member for Water and Sanitation, Councillor Zahid Badroodien.
